I’m a firm believer that shoes can transform an outfit. They’re one of my favourite things to buy! I’m working on some upcoming posts sharing my capsule wardrobe suggestions as requested by my lovely Instagram followers, and wanted to kick it off by sharing my go-to summer 2020 shoes – the ones every country girl’s wardrobe needs!

Dubarry Of Ireland – Belize Deck Shoe

Dubarry Of Ireland – Belize Deck Shoe (Beige)*

My go-to, casual slip-on deck shoe. Traditionally for sailing, but perfect for every day wear. These are made from soft nubuck leather which has been protected using a water-resistant finish with a slim non-slip sole which gives you stability in wet or dry conditions.

I love the stitching detail against the beige shoe, along with the Dubarry signature Port & Starboard flash trim.

Hush Puppies – Hattie Lace Up Boat Shoe

Hush Puppies – (Pink) Hattie Lace Up Boat Shoe*

These beautiful boat shoes really add a splash of colour if you’re wearing pastel tones. I’m never usually brave with bright shoes but these feel like slippers on your feet, the nubuck is ever so comfy! I love the lace detailing and the memory foam sole, these will definitely get a lot of use this summer.

White Sneakers

Margot – Ice fabric lace up trainers

I love these casual white sneakers from Chatham, I actually purchased my first pair over a year ago and have just treated myself to a new pair for this summer as they’ve been reduced to £25…bargain! I grew up as an outdoors girl and despite owning tons of heels, I’d pick flats 9 times out of 10. With sportswear being a huge fashion trend right now, you can get away with pairing these with almost any look – from sundresses to sporty attire.

Fairfax & Favor – Monaco Wedges

Fairfax & Favor – Monaco Wedges (Khaki)*

Every girl needs that special pair of show-stopping, reliable shoes to throw on when she needs them. The right shoe can turn even the most basic outfit into a winning look.

Having only launched at the back end of April, Fairfax & Favor captured our hearts with their SS20 range. These are one of my favourite Spring shoes this season, and the khaki colour will go with so many outfits. This beautiful heeled espadrille features an ankle strap with the F&F signature chevron buckle, an 8cm heel – therefore comfy enough to wear all day, a rubber sole and contrasting coloured tassels to the rear.

Neutral Heel

Christian Louboutin – So Kate (Nude Patent)

These are my go-to nude heeled stilettos. Admittedly, they’re an investment and they don’t come out very often, other than hunt balls or special occasions. If you’re on the fence about purchasing a pair of Christian Louboutin’s, I’ve had mine 5 years now and believe they’re worth the splurge instead of buying 3-4 pairs in that time. They’re a timeless classic and go with everything and I can’t wait to wear these out after lockdown!

I could go on forever – I’m such a sucker for shoes! I may or may not have a slight shoe obsession, so of course I had to round up some of my current favourite pairs for Spring & Summer this year. But I hope you agree, that’s a good start for a country girl’s must-have shoe collection?!

Let me know in the comments which shoes are your favourite and if I’m missing any shoes you consider a wardrobe staple?

Lots of love as always,
Chloe x
